My Role

Integrating third-party apps into Teams

Microsoft Teams is a collaboration workspace for teamwork in Microsoft 365, and it is the fastest-growing business application in Microsoft right now. The Ecosystem team provides white-glove services for customers to integrate their application to the Teams platform. We build custom integration solutions by directly communicating with customer PMs to understand usage scenarios, proposing wireframes and user flows for the integration that aligns with the design patterns we have developed for the Teams Ecosystem.

What I'm working on

Create customized third-party app integrations with the Teams platform
Understand requirements and expectations from various partners for their specific use cases. And design customized flows that align with the best practices of utilizing existing Teams Platform capabilities and components, such as Messaging Extensions, Meeting Extensions, Adaptive Cards, Personal Apps, Bots, etc. Customers include front-line workers, fintech, and SMBs.

Ensure design consistency by providing guidance to Teams partners
Microsoft Teams has comprehensive suites of features and components, and each serves different purposes. I provide detailed guidance and concrete example to ensure our parters is taking the most suitable features and components to implement their user flow. This also helps ensure design consistency across different projects.

Provide feedback during design review for team success
During weekly design review meeting, propose future improvements for the Ecosystem team. Through the design critique section within designers, I give constructive feedback to peer designers to help polish their design and ensure our design consistency within the team.
